About Adam
I moved to Fort Collins with my family from California in 1993. We settled on the southeast side of town, where I attended Fort Collins High School and graduated in 2002 with a strong involvement in theater.
After high school, I began a career in sales, spending a decade in the automotive industry working with several local dealerships—ultimately serving as a General Sales Manager. I later transitioned into real estate, working as a Realtor and deeply involved in housing policy and community development. During that time, I served on the Board of Directors for the Fort Collins Board of Realtors, chaired Government Affairs and the Northern Colorado Young Professionals. I participated in the Colorado Association of Realtors' Young Professionals Network.
In 2023, I was honored to be named Realtor of the Year, a recognition that reflects both my professional work and civic involvement.
My passion for service also extended to the nonprofit sector, where I served on boards like ChildSafe and supported local agencies by organizing micro-events that raised funds and volunteer support. During the pandemic, I earned my MBA from Colorado State University and launched Oaked Coffee Co., an artisan coffee roasting business. In recent years, I transitioned from volunteering as a victim advocate with the Larimer County Sheriff's Office to serving professionally as a Victim Witness Specialist.
About a decade ago, I became more politically engaged, diving into the intricacies of city governance. I’ve worked on policies related to land use, occupancy limits, building defect regulations, capital improvement fees, and parking strategies. I've also contributed to housing initiatives through organizations like One Voice for Housing and NOCO Housing Now, and served on the City's Parking Advisory Board and various housing-related steering committees.
I’ve built strong working relationships with local, regional, and state leaders through these roles. I consider myself a policy wonk who prefers rolling up their sleeves behind the scenes to shape meaningful change. While I enjoy collaborating with dedicated city staff, I also had the opportunity to run for City Council in 2018. Although I didn’t win, the experience was incredibly rewarding and allowed me to build lasting connections throughout our community.
At every stage of my career—from business to advocacy—my focus has remained the same: serving Fort Collins and helping to make our city better for everyone who calls it home.
